by Søren for everyone

This summer "Mallemuk" (1182) visited the Faeroe Islands. We were bound for Island, but unfortunately my mate had to go back to Denmark from the Faroes. I was lucky to hitchhike with two other boats to Island and back to "Mallemuk", and get new crew to the trip home.

I put some pictures and letters (in danish) at my multiply, which you will find here:

Thanks to Jesper for his inspiration and great work for the group.

Also thanks to the members that have participated with heating letters. "Mallemuk" was equiped an Eberspächer AIRTRONIC D4 before the cruise, which never failed and kept us warm and dry in the cold conditions.

Thanks for the roses Søren, you're all welcome. I am glad to hear you had an Eberspächer on board. It's great to have hot air blown into the cabin, when things are cold, and maybe wet.

For the information of the non scandinavian people reading Sørens post, Søren mentions "Island" (with capitol "i") which is the commom scandinavian name for the country Iceland, which I am sure most people know is also an island in the north atlantic. In fact it's north of the southern tip of Greenland.

Best Regards.

Very inspiring, Søren. I hope to do something similar one day, preferably sooner than later. Also, your trip is a great tribute to the Ballad's eternal beauty and seaworthiness.
