Measure request

I'm in the process of ordering a cockpit-tent, but I need a measurement from the center of the boat, just behind the cockpit frame, and up to the backstay. My boat is on the hard, without the rig, so I'm unable to do this myself. This is in order to find the max height of the cockpit-tent. A kind-of...

Re: Handrail on deck

Thanks for the replies. Could'nt find anything at Vega Marine. So I guess I have two options; either to ask my good neighbor if he can do it, or as I found on this forum, replace the wooden hand-rail with some of steel.

Cheers

Handrail on deck

Hi all, returning again to this great forum for help. On my #1080 the handrail on starboard side on deck is broken. I thought it would be easy to find a new replacement, but the ones I can find, do not have the 4-grib 163cm length I'm looking for. Anybody out there who knows a place this can be boug...

Re: Waterpump sealing ring replacement (md6b)

Problem solved :) I sprayed a good bunch of similar to WD40 around and in the bolt area. Then tried shortly after with no luck, even using a tool like this: https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmadhattinmom.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2013%2F02%2F15237_lg.jpg&f=1 Even shouting at th...

Re: Crusing speed

Doing family crusing we often just use the head-sail when wind is above 7-8 m/S. That is the big genoa. Mostly for comfort, not for speed. I haven't actually yet tried to reef the main, but need to figure out how to do that.

Thanks for the input.

Re: Waterpump sealing ring replacement (md6b)

Hi Mark,

thanks for your suggestion. I think I'll try a mulgrips for starters and see. I just need to find one small enough to fit in the small area around the waterpump.

I'll get back once (hopefully) done.

Waterpump sealing ring replacement (md6b)

Hi all, I need to replace the 2 sealing rings inside the waterpump house on my Md6B. The waterhouse is mounted with 2 bolts. The upper one was easy to remove, but the one below I haven't been able to release. The bolt seem to be difficult to get a grip on, because of little space and because of wear...

Crusing speed

Ohoj all, Just out of curiosity and to get a feeling of if my sails are close to "done" (or if I'm a lousy sailer), what speeds are you able to get out your boat? With head and main going upwind (close to the wind as possible) in 5-6 m/s almost flat water, no current, I get around 5.5 knot...

Cockpit-tent (buy)

Hi All,

I'm looking for a cockpit-tent in white/off-white colors for my #1080. Anybody having one on stock? I prefer it is the version that is easy to flip down/up without to much hazzle.

thanks

Best Regards
Frank
