Just came back from 2 weeks out on the boat. We mostly sailed but the times we had to motor everything worked flawlessly. Pushing on the CAV filter primer bulb it always used to be a bit spongy (air). Now it's as hard as the proverbial rock ... all the time!

Well, with the tank to fuel pump to engine setup we motored for 8 hours this weekend with nary so much as a bubble of air in the fuel filter, which is at the high point of the system. The "missing" length on your boat matches where my closed locker sits between the aft lower chainplate bulkhead and the main bulkhead. I wonder what the aft lower chainplate would be attached to if this mini bulkhead was missing?

Mark, I deleted my message when I realized your rails were on the toe rail, not the inboard ones .... not sure what size those are but should be easy to measure. My Ballad does not have those tracks.
