Ballad 1020

Post by Nik1020 »

All greetings!
I apologize for my English.
In the fall of last year I bought Ballad of 1976 with serial number 1020, it is in Sweden. By the boat the new diesel Sole mini 17 is installed. This summer I went hiking pery time, were in Sweden, Norway, Denmark. In total about 1000 nm turned out. With the boat it is very happy, it is pleasant to me more and more! But certainly there were also first malfunctions. The epiploon of a pomp of the internal cooling system (about 10 grams of glycol at an o'clock follow) Still I began to flow paid attention that the former owner didn't install the filter of outside water. I will be grateful for answers of skilled owners of Ballad!

Hi Nik,

Welcome to the forum :)

As I understand you're having some issues with the cooling system on your Solé mini 17? And you have noticed that the previous owner haven't had a filter installed to filter the saltwater? I'm in no means an expert when it comes to engines but I do know some of the other members on the forum have Solé engines in their Ballads. They are probably better suited to help you than I am :)

Hi Mads,
yes it is true there is a problem with the leakage of glycol cooling system, probably have to change the pump internal cooling circuit. I will be glad to hear from owners Ballad Sole mini.

I've seen pictures where you have altered your boat ... It is hard to imagine how much time and effort needed for such work. Take my admiration.

Hello ! I was a trouble as a result of the storm fell from my boat props and was damaged, fractured board. It is situated in Sweden, near Gothenburg. I am a master who can do the repair, I will be grateful for any advice. I'll send photos.
