Due to increased amount of spamming attempts all registrations now have to be accepted by the board administrator. After filling in the "register" form, mail the administrator admin<at>balladklubben.se and motivate why you want to join.

Any proposals on changes are welcome...

Post by admin »

Hi
This is the newly created replacement for the Ballad Exchange that earlier was hosted by Multiply. All proposals on changes, fault corrections etc. are welcome.

My Compliments! It looks good and it seems to work well. I will try to move some of my old contributions into this new and improved Ballad Exchange.

Great news the forum will continue. It has been a great resource and of huge benefit. Can I have some guidance on what format recreated postings should take? Perhaps a template to work from would be useful? Should all replies be rolled up into the main forum post?

Thanks for your efforts on this.

Hi all,
It's a great news that the Ballad exchange will continue!!
We, with my wife, are Ballad owners since 1 year and an half. we are currently living in France and cruising on the Med sea.
Ballad exchange has been for me a great source of infos even if I never posted on it, I do appologize for this and I will be more present on this forum!

If I can do something to held for the transfer, I will do it!

Many thanks Jesper for the job you performed, I know that you are no more Ballad owner ;-(

Ballad.de Exchange

Post by Liese »

Hi all,
good to have an english knowledge base secured in future.
I am posting for www.ballad.de.

Following ideas I would like to mention here:

We started in 2011 after Jespers message to quit the BalladExchange to transfer the knowledge into PHPBB forum database. Before going online, I was not sure if this forum will be accepted by english owners, so we kept it hidden as long as the BalladExchange Forum is still online. I think now it would be a good time to build a new and combined BalladExchange forum.
The Ballad.de BalladExchange forum can be found here: --> LINK
Therefore I would like to offer exporting the BalladExchange Database from our forum (same forum software as here) and include it here.

Another idea:
In case there will be problems with Spam, we have used a simple (maritime ;-) ) question during registration process to exclude Spam accounts. Luckily , we are hosting the Ballad.de domain with a Ballad owner who is doing web/internet business.

If you are interested please get in contact with me at Liese@trave-forum.de .

Best regards & Good work in winter time :-)
Jörg

PS: You are all welcome at Kiel 2013 (Welcome Race 22./23.06.2013 Kiel-Eckernförde ) In the last years we have been scored as Ballad One Design with min 6 - up to 9 Ballads in 2012 racing each other)

I think it would be great to have all available Ballad-related material on one site, regardless of what language it's in. With the Internet's translation abilities a difference of language is no longer a barrier to communication. On the German Ballad site, and others, I've found a lot of useful information helping with my boat's restoration.

Would it be possible to include the MOD Latest topic title ?

https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2104709

Examples:
http://www.golf-4-tuning.de/forum/vw-bo ... m-f38.html
or simply at
http://www.ballad.de/forum/

Its possible to see directly which topic has been discussed lately.

Best regards,
Jörg

Sorry for late answer, but it took a while until I had time to check it.

Unfortunately I am hesitant to install packets not part of the core. The reason is that all upgrades tend to be more timeconsuming, and sometime very timeconsuming, when special procedures must be applied. So I only do it if the gain it creates is substantial... So for the time beeing I prefer to wait at least until I have more spare time :-) (big chance that that will happen son)
