Handrail on deck

Post by Dossing »

Hi all,

returning again to this great forum for help. On my #1080 the handrail on starboard side on deck is broken. I thought it would be easy to find a new replacement, but the ones I can find, do not have the 4-grib 163cm length I'm looking for. Anybody out there who knows a place this can be bought?

I have attached a picture of the boat, where the handrail is visible (not the best picture).

Hi Frank,
I built a new set for my Ballad #1085. It was fairly easy, and I used the method shown in this video.
If one of yours broke, the other one is probably weak too.
Cheers,
Peter.

She looks a fine vessel Frank.

Do Vega Marin stock them? http://www.vegamarin.se/en/deck-product ... 43293.html

Thanks for the replies. Could'nt find anything at Vega Marine. So I guess I have two options; either to ask my good neighbor if he can do it, or as I found on this forum, replace the wooden hand-rail with some of steel.

Cheers

Worth dropping Vega Marine an email too - they were very helpful last time I did. Failing that, yup, looks like a good winter craft job!
