Has anybody had to remove and inspect the stem plate for corrosion? Mine Ballad 1973 has two long bolts welded to a plate on stem that pass thru about 9 inches of fiberglass and into an upper plate where the forward stay attaches. Two nuts are holding the upper plate in place. I cannot see anything outwardly wrong with it and I do not want to remove it. But its the part that I cannot see that bothers me. Anybody ever have any crevice corrosion issues or had to replace it with a new install? Thanks..
