In this group you may:
- Search for information (Please always search before asking)
- Ask for information
- Give information
SearchÃng for information using "tags".
One of the keys to finding information in a Multiply Group, is the "tag". A tag is a word attached to a posting. Any posting may have a number of tags attached. As an example, this posting has been tagged "Welcome!" and "Help forum". On the front page, at the bottom of the Welcome box, you find a list of all the tags that have been used on postings in this group. All postings from the old MSN group, are tagged with the name of the subforum they were originally posted in. So subforums like "Accomodation" and ""Engine" have been tagged "Accomodation" or "Engine". If you have a problem with your mast, and you want to search for postings about masts, go to the front page, look at the bottom of the welcome box, and click the tag (word) "rig and sails".
I have created boxes on the front page, down under the welcome box, with posting headers from different subjects, that you will recognise as some of the different subforums on the old MSN group.
Another way to find something in this group is to use Goggle. You may use the Goggle search function in the Welcome box. When using Goggle please be aware that Goggle may not show the newest postings. It takes a up to a month before Goggle "discovers" a new posting in our group.
Asking for information
Posting a question on Ballad Exchange is easy. Click the +Post in the upper right hand corner of Ballad Exchange, and choose the appropriate kind of posting for your question. In most cases that will be a "Blog" posting, which also accepts pictures, that you might want to use for illustration of your question. However - the other posting types can also be used for posting questions.
Giving information
Questions are answered by adding a comment to the posting with the question. You may also choose to "reply". It seems however, that a reply or a comment does not accept pictures. if the information you have to offer contains pictures you will have to post a Blog, just like when asking a question, just remeber to use the same title, so that viewers will know it is a posting on that specific subject. Please also remember to apply tags to any postings you make.
