by the vagabond dreamer for everyone
Hello All...
Well the deck is FINALLY painted!!!
It's been a long trying job here. We spent a lot of time trying to prepare the deck and get rid of a lot of the ripple on the sides that the bolting of the deck caused.
There were also a LOT of small scratches and dings from year of use...
and some sun damager here and there on the gelcoat that needed to be repaired.
Now all we lack is the cockpit area to paint. It was just too hard to try and do it as well and not step in fresh paint!
Posting some picts of the work as of this weekend. We'll take the next weekend off as it's Mardi Gras there and the traffic and crowds are insane!!!
We are seeing a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel here!!!

I feel your pain. Went through the process last year,
along with mast re-wiring and rigging. I thought we
would NEVER get in the water. But the deck looks
great! Congratulations! And after a year or so you
will forget the ordeal and start another major boat
project!

Beautiful.  Having spent a couple of months on my knees with rollers and foam brushes doing a two-tone job myself, I have to admit that I envy your skill with the
paint gun.  I'm sure you got a better finish than I did without the constantly-creaking knees.Well done.
