I had a couple of Ballads surveyed by different people before I bought mine last spring and both times it was recommended that the batteries be moved closer to the engine. Presumably this will reduce voltage drop while cranking the engine. Have other people found this to be a practical problem? Has anyone moved their batteries? The cockpit lockers would seem to be the only practical alternative location, and the weight distribution would change significantly possibly for the better. The space freed up in the bow would be very useful too. Who knows?
