Hi,

Does anyone have a suggestion as to the proper or ideal length for a spinnaker pole for the Ballad? Mine is about 10 feet and have used mine 4-5 times and think it is too short as the bottom of the sail stays rolled/curled in.

How about you Jerry Martin? Your spinnaker always looks good......

Hi Dan,

the maximal Spinnaker pole length according the Ballad One Design Rule is 3740mm. So that is what I choose for our ballad. And it works perfect with a spinnaker which also has to fit to following Rules values:

Spinnaker: Leech (SL) shall not be greater than 11300 mm
Max width (SMW) 6730 mm
The width at half of the height shall not be less than 75 % of the width at the foot (SMG).
