The mast on 'TORSK' has some serious corrosion particularly around the Kicker fitting and I'm wondering whether I should replace the mast or try and get it repaired.  Also the gooseneck fitting on the boom is badly worn. Has anyone else had this problem. Your thoughts would be gratefully received

Hi,
FYI, try the section "Rig and Sails" - "Mast leaking".  One of the replies has a drawing which may be helpful.  I rebuilt my gooseneck using local materials and my own tools but I believe the original parts are available somewhere in Sweden.  You may want to try the Vega sites.
